The Association School of Coaches “Ioan Kunst Ghermănescu” is an educational institution that aims to provide professional training services in partnership with the oldest and largest sports university in Romania, the meeting place of many outstanding personalities of the national and international culture, namely with the National University of Physical Education and Sport, Bucharest. This university is a founding member of the association that set up the coach training school. The educational partnership with the National University of Physical Education and Sport in Bucharest, A-level institution, with a high degree of trust provided by ARACIS in 2017, ensures the premises of an educational process that satisfies the quality standards.
Our shcool aims to develop initial and specialization training programs for human resources in the field of sport, programs that comply with the national legislation in force.
In order to accomplish its mission, the school has the resources necessary for the development of initial and advanced training programs, at European quality standards: highly qualified human resources – university teachers, trainers specialized in sports branches (from UNEFS), as well as educational facilities – course rooms, methodical rooms, sports halls, sports fields, and library.
The school wishes to continue the tradition of training the sports specialists that UNEFS Bucharest has supported for decades. The establishment of the “Ioan Kunst Ghermănescu” Coach School represents an act of re-establishing the dimensions and the quality of coach training in different branches of sport. The mission of the Coach School Ioan Kunst Ghermănescu is:

~to train coaches in different sporting sectors, according to the standards of quality and exigency imposed at national and European level by similar professional organizations and by sports federations;
~to focus on the formation and development of competences (knowledge, skills, attitudes) enabling the graduate to be professionally involved in the field, at national and international level;
~to provide quality training services to ensure the successful completion of the training program;
~to create an efficient and friendly school environment where all resources (human, material, financial, informational) are used for quality professional training;
~to create a methodological and research force in the field of performance sports, where future specialists will find resources for initial and continuous training;
~to develop educational services that promote moral and fair-play values in the community;
~to create educational partnerships with educational institutions in the country and abroad. Ioan Kunst Ghermănescu Coach School promotes a quality-based education in the provision of educational services, responsibility in assuming and fulfilling its mission, performance through the best education standards, and the professional insertion rate of the graduates.

SThe Romanian Association of Applied Psychopedagogy (ARPA) is a non-profit organization, consisting of experts in the field of psychology and educational sciences, with the aim of supporting children with special needs, parents, teachers and other specialists (physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists) in order to reach the optimal potential of personal and professional development, to reduce the risk of occurrence of various difficulties, with the help of psychotherapy and psycho-pedagogical strategies that have proven effective for several decades worldwide.
ARPA aims is to improve the situation of children with special needs who have social, educational disadvantages and disabilities (physical, sensory, intellectual) in all areas of social, cultural and educational life.
ARPA works and supports the integration of disadvantaged children and children with disabilities into social, educational, assistive and physical environment by improving communication skills and social skills, sharing experiences.
ARPA members and volunteers are cultivating the values of democracy, developing civic attitudes and behaviours, non-discriminatory towards people with special needs, by initiating and evaluating policies: promoting respect, equal opportunities, positive approach.
Main aims of ARPA are :
~ Development of the local community through volunteer projects;
~ Personal development of the beneficiaries of the association - children with special needs (autistic children, children with intellectual disabilities, children with learning disorders, physical disabilities and sensory disabilities);
~ Professional development of specialists working with children with special needs: educators, teachers, school psychologists, educational counsellors, speech therapists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists;
~ Promoting the social integration and inclusion of children with special needs;
~ Promoting non-discrimination and equal opportunities for children with special needs;
~ Providing assistance to reach non-formal education and non-directive therapeutic methods for children that are most in need of support;
~ National and international cooperation.
~ Main activities of Romanian Association of Applied Psychopedagogy are trainings, workshops and seminars. Topics of the activities are:
~ Play and movement therapy in children with special needs
~ Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) to children with autism;
~ Verbal-motor Learning in children with speech disorders;
~ Management of behavioral disorders in children with special needs;
~ Cognitive education for children with special needs.

University of Macedonia - Department of Educational & Social Policy (UOM)

The University of Macedonia has 10.000 students and 8 departments. The Department of Educational and Social Policy at the University of Macedonia is the only Department in Higher Education in Greece that is responsible for training teachers and other professionals working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. The Department implements contemporary teaching models on Autism Spectrum Disorders and places students for apprenticeships in special, mainstream, preschool, primary, secondary, technical vocational school units all over the country as well as in institutions abroad through several programs like Erasmus, AISEC etc. The Department runs several research programs, postgraduate programs and specialization programs on Autism (e.g. Specialization program on Alternative systems of communication, Specialization program and Certification on Assessment on ASD tools e.g. "ΠΑΙΣ" http://developunit.gr/). Moreover, the Department is responsible for the organisation and management of the ways in which teachers and parents with children with ASD communicate and collaborate with each other. The Department is on constant dialogue with society and special education schools/units, mainstream schools, in both primary and secondary education to integrate both theory and practice between all stakeholders working with children with autism. The department cooperates with several public authorities, research centres and institutions like the Ministry of Education, the Institute of Educational Policy, Centres of Diagnosis and Support, schools, school advisors and others.

Every year members of the various academic Departments as well as the administrative offices take part in the biggest educational exhibitions and fairs. At the moment, the UOM has many active bilateral agreements with foreign partner institutions worldwide.

European Association for Mental Health in Intellectual Disability (EAMHID) provides a platform for academics, health professionals and policy makers. The purpose of the Association is to facilitate international cooperation and exchange of knowledge and experience in the field of mental health in people with an intellectual disability. Special emphasis is placed on the coordination and promotion of scientific activities and improving standards of care and support throughout Europe.
The purpose of the Association is international co-operation and exchange of knowledge and experience in the field of mental health for people who have intellectual disability with specific emphasis on co-ordinating and promoting scientific activities and improving standards of support throughout Europe. In furtherance of this purpose the Association:
a) organize international and regional congresses, conferences, symposia, workshops and courses;
b) publish journals, newsletters, books and brochures for the dissemination of information;
c) establish international exchange programmes for researchers, professional care-givers, educators and public policy representatives;
d) promote international collaborative research projects;
e) influence policy at local, regional, national & international levels to promote mental health and social inclusion;
f) Promote other activities that are compatible with the purposes of the Association and may be authorised by the Executive Committee.
The Association is non-profit making and shall not seek to promote any political, economic or religious aims.

EAMHID counts more than 50 members from several EU Countries. It organises periodically masterclasses to favour exchange of knowledge and developing networks of professionals in the field of mental health. Every two years the Association organises an international congress with the aim of providing an opportunity for clinical practitioners, academics, service providers and mental health experts to learn about new and emerging developments in mental health issues. Thanks to the experience of its coordinator, the association will perform all the activities foreseen in the project. It will be involved in all the project activities and outputs and will be responsible for the dissemination at European level. .
